Feels slightly jank, had to change the default controls to play better. Has potential though. I personally recommend extending the attack range since I have to get real close to attack anything (don't give them a ranged weapon, just longer slapping length).

Jumping feels slightly off

Fun concept, neat mechanic, snazzy aesthetic. Personally, the music doesn't really fit the vibe of the game a bit but it doesn't hinder much. I kinda wish there were more mechanics with speech bubbles though, like jumping on a horn dude to make it honk a spiky speech bubble that could cause damage, but then it turns into an inhale speech bubble (bubbly) that can be used as a floating platform.

This demo itself does contain some minor issues. The fist in phase two gets in the way of your jumps for the projectile, there isn't a clear space to land on without taking damage for attacking the head, the up and down arrows still connect to my browser rather than just the game so if I press down the page will scroll a bit down, and having to refresh the page after dying is annoying. That being said, since theres only one fight so far, the last problem isn't that bad and the game loads fairly quickly. I also suggest experimenting with an expanded moveset if you do go further into the idea (honestly would make things more frenetic and fun) as a boss rush where you use the full capacity of the character would make things more interesting. The art and aesthetic is pretty great. Overall, not bad and has potential.

Its fun but the camera is jank and the mechanic of bumping into walls to immediately turn makes my eyes dizzy. Otherwise its a fun concept.

I feel like the controls could have used more variety in attacks. I felt like if diagonal shooting was implemented it would have made things more manageable and some more enemy variety would have also been nice. Also the music overpowers the sfx.

Its cute but i feel like there could've been more added for gameplay depth. Though i do understand this is from a gamejam so I shouldn't be too judgmental.

The controls can feel clunky sometimes when trying to land a hit or jump. Plus the collision with the egg can also be glitched and not function well.

This game, while fun, could use more tweaking. For one, it could use more checkpoints as it is easy to die. Two, the music and action could use more oomph for feedback (like maybe a distant "1,2" going on rather than the tapping). You also look down and back up for the playthrough which can become annoying, as going along with the beat is the main gimmick (rather than looking down). Lastly, the punishment for whiffing the beat feels too punishing. Why can''t I control my descent if I'm falling? Otherwise, neat idea for a rhythm game, execution just needs work.
